Twickenham Academy A Level Results

We are pleased with our A level results and with the outcomes these will lead to for our Sixth Form students. All our students have secured the grades they needed to go onto university, apprenticeships or career-related training with 75% of our students securing their first place choices of university. Of particular note are the achievements of Libby Fogden (3 B grades in Mathematics, Applied Business and Psychology), Amy Dexter (1 B grade and 2 C grades in Applied Business, Biology and Chemistry) and Abbie Lumley (Distinction* in BTEC Level 3 IT and a B grade in Mathematics).

Overall, our results confirmed a significant improvement on the grades achieved last year with the number of students obtaining 3 A*-E rising by 27%. There were strong results from our Mathematics Department with 100% of students gaining either A*-B grades.

One of the key reasons for our success both in absolute and relative terms has been a consistent focus on the interests of the students, developing a broad range of skills and responsibilities. Finally, I am sure that the students would also wish me to acknowledge the hard work and commitment of the teaching staff at Twickenham Academy who work tirelessly to help students achieve the best results they can.
