Twickenham Academy students celebrate the Queen´s Diamond Jubilee Visit to Richmond Park

On Tuesday 15th May a group of thirty Twickenham Academy students were invited to attend the Queen´s Diamond Jubilee visit to Richmond Park. Travelling by train to Richmond the students enjoyed the many different stalls and activities at the event such as painting, shooting sweets, gardening, drawing and the many rides before the Queen finally arrived to greet the many school children, scouts, brownies and guides. In the words of Xiena Zien 7N “this event was amazing, to see the Queen and watch the soldiers marching". Despite the driving rain (and hail) the students proudly waved their flags and had a wonderful time.
