YEAR 9'S WIN COLIN BOSLEY SHIELD AT ALLIANZ PARK

On Tuesday 2 December Twickenham Academy played against Cranford Community College at Allianz Park in the All Schools U14 Colin Bosley Cup Final. This was a massive achievement just to get this far. They had won the Colin Bosley League and had to play the team in second place in order to be crowned champions. Crandford had a much stronger team than when Twickenham previously played them in the League.

Twickenham started the game well, scoring in the early minutes. Lewis Harrison picked the ball from the back of the maul and scored in the corner. This was closely followed by one of Daniel Clouter’s darting runs. Cranford fought back and punished Twickenham's lack of concentration by using the space on the wings as Twickenham got drawn into the ruck. Twickenham hit by when Enrique bulldozed his way over the line twice to score two tries. One of these was converted by Daniel Clouter right out on the touch line. The final blow came for Cranford when Daniel Clouter intercepted a Cranford pass and run 65m to the try line. The final score was Twickenham 27- 5 Cranford.
